OUR PURPOSE
To make African company dataaccurate, accessible and usefulfor informed decisions.
To be the most trusted sourceof structured African capitalmarket data.
HOW WE BUILD RELIABLE DATA
We identify official filings and disclosures from trusted exchanges and regulators.
We extract key data and standardise it into consistent formats and definitions.
We validate figures, reconcile inconsistencies and ensure internal coherence.
Our analysts perform independent reviews for accuracy and completeness.
You receive structured datasets with clear metadata and methodology notes.
Bloomberg, Refinitiv, and S&P Capital IQ cover African markets selectively. Coverage of NGX-listed firms outside the largest-cap names is sparse, variables are frequently missing for earlier years, and pricing targets global institutional subscribers.
No single person both extracts and approves a figure. Every observation goes through two independent hands: an extractor who pulls the figure from the source document, and a verifier who checks it independently against the same document.
Every figure is subject to balance sheet identity checks, year-on-year continuity checks, and ratio plausibility bounds. Any figure that fails is flagged, traced back to the source, and resolved before release.
Where a company has revised prior-year figures, we record both values. The restated figure is used in the primary dataset; the original is retained in a supplementary column.
Our database covers only currently listed firms, ensuring clean, relevant, and consistently structured panel data.
Every variable is defined in a standardised codebook specifying exactly which line item to use and what constitutes a genuine absence of data.
